Position Summary:
The Finance Manager is a senior financial leader responsible for overseeing the financial health, strategy, and compliance of a multi-plant food or beverage manufacturing operation. This role requires an engaged executive with a proven track record in financial leadership, operational finance expertise, and strategic planning within large-scale manufacturing environments. The Finance Manager will drive financial performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and support executive decision-making through accurate reporting and analysis, as well as complete hands-on accounting tasks. This individual must comply with all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to Quality and Food Safety Policies, Good Manufacturing Practices, and General and Safety Work Rules.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Leadership & Strategy
- Provide strategic financial leadership to executive management in support of company growth and profitability.
- Develop and execute long-term financial strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes across multiple manufacturing facilities.
Operational & Plant Finance
- Oversee plant-level financial performance, including cost accounting, variance analysis, and productivity metrics.
- Partner with plant managers and operations leadership to drive cost control, margin improvement, and capital efficiency.
- Ensure accurate inventory valuation, standard costing, and production cost analysis across all facilities.
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Maintain compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company financial policies.
- Coordinate audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting requirements.
Cash Flow & Risk Management
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditure planning.
- Evaluate financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Oversee banking relationships, financing arrangements, and insurance programs.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and mentor finance and accounting teams across multiple locations.
- Establish best practices, standard operating procedures, and performance metrics.
- Promote a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years leadership experience working in a company with $500M+ in annual sales and 200+ employees.
- Manufacturing industry experience required.
- Proven multi-plant financial leadership experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English proficiently.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing finance, cost accounting, and operational metrics.
